Art exhibitions to see in Lagos this weekend

1. National Museum: Odyssey: A Retrospective of Drawings and Paintings | Abiodun Olaku | A solo exhibition 

This exhibition basically showcases and tells the story of the brand, ABIODUN OLAKU, in true and clear colours, with a historical slant to it. It is essentially a retrospective presentation that will reveal the organic development (metamorphosis, if you will), of a highly respected and acclaimed global brand in the world of contemporary Visual Art, from infancy.

2. The Art Hotel: Through The Looking Glass | A duo exhibition 

Date: Sunday 20 October, 2024

Venue: Plot 13A, Block lll, Chief Yesuf Abiodun Oniru Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

3. Iwalewa Gallery of Art: Memories… | Adebimpe Adebambo | A solo exhibition 

Adebimpe Adebambo, born October 22 1974, is a multidisciplinary artist working across visual art, fashion, film and animation. This solo exhibition relaunches her visual art journey, reflecting on personal and collective stories through abstract, semi-abstract and experimental styles.

4. Signature Beyond Art Gallery: A group exhibition 

Opening on Saturday 19th October and running through Saturday 26th October, 2024, Signature Beyond Art Gallery proudly presents a captivating exhibition featuring the works of three talented artists: two sculptors and one painter. This unique showcase will display 29 exquisite pieces, including 16 sculptures and 13 paintings.
